Veterinarian – High-Volume Spay/Neuter | $160K–$180K
A Pawsitive Fix Spay & Neuter Clinic – Oklahoma City, OK
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours
A Pawsitive Fix is a new low-cost spay and neuter clinic in Oklahoma City with one primary goal: make spay and neuter services affordable and accessible while helping reduce Oklahoma’s overwhelming pet overpopulation problem.
We are seeking an experienced veterinarian with strong surgical skills who is comfortable working in a high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter environment and wants to make a measurable difference in the lives of animals in our community.
The Position
Our veterinarian will primarily perform spay and neuter surgeries on dogs and cats in an efficient, well-supported surgical environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter surgeries
- Conducting brief pre-operative examinations and determining surgical eligibility
- Providing medical oversight of anesthesia, surgery and recovery
- Managing surgical complications when necessary
- Providing medical direction to veterinary technicians and assistants regarding patient care
- Maintaining accurate medical and controlled-substance records
- Helping establish and maintain safe, efficient medical protocols
- Providing vaccinations and other limited preventive services associated with the clinic
What We’re Looking For
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Current Oklahoma veterinary license or ability to obtain one
- Strong surgical skills
- High-volume spay/neuter experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work efficiently without compromising patient safety or quality of care
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment
- Genuine commitment to reducing pet overpopulation and improving access to affordable veterinary care
Schedule
The regular schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with no evenings and no regularly scheduled weekends.
There may be occasional Saturday morning clinics for special vaccination events or designated spay/neuter days. These will be scheduled in advance and are not part of the regular weekly schedule.
This is a surgery-focused position without the demands of a traditional general-practice appointment schedule.
Compensation & Benefits
$160,000–$180,000 annually, depending on experience and high-volume surgical proficiency.
As a new clinic, A Pawsitive Fix is currently developing its employee benefits package. Benefits will not be available immediately upon hire but are planned as the clinic becomes established. Full details and anticipated timing will be discussed during the interview process.
Why A Pawsitive Fix?
Oklahoma has an enormous need for affordable spay and neuter services. We believe prevention is one of the most effective ways to reduce shelter intake, abandonment and unnecessary euthanasia.
This is an opportunity to help build a clinic from the ground up and become an important part of a long-term solution for animals throughout our community.
If you’re an experienced veterinarian who loves surgery and believes high-quality veterinary medicine and high-volume spay/neuter can go hand in hand, we’d love to talk with you.
