Safety/Security Sensitive Designation:
This is a safety/security sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.

Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.

Assist with cultivation and care of flowers, plants, shrubs and trees on city public spaces.

Assist with design of gardens and public spaces.

Assist in selection and acquisition of appropriate plant materials for public spaces.

Participate in propagation, care and transplanting of plants, etc.

Maintain assigned flower beds and gardens in parks and public spaces.

Interact with the public and answer questions related to the gardens.

Maintain records and provide data or documentation as needed.

Perform chemical and fertilizer applications.

Design, install and repair irrigation systems.

As assigned, serve as a lead worker.

Assist with care and maintenance of required equipment.

Position requires occasional after-hours or weekend work in support of greenhouse operations.

Assist and participate in horticultural related community programs including community gardens.
