American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Acute Care) travel assignment in Albany, GA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment.

Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 44 beds
-
Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
-
Patient ratio of 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6 on both days and nights
-
CNA support available with a general ratio of 1:8–1:10
-
Telemetry is present on the unit but monitored by a separate unit
-
Floating required to all acute care areas, cardiology (medical patients), or the EC for acute care patient holds
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
-
EMR: MEDITECH (experience preferred but not required)
-
17-week contract
-
Active RN license in Georgia (GA state or Compact license) currently in hand

Current BLS and NIHSS certifications, both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience

At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required

Driver's License required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on the address on their Driver's License) to be eligible for this position

Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general orientation (including EMR training) followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation

Caribbean Blue scrubs required

Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement

Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted and confirmed at the time of assignment acceptance
