Clay Cooley Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram (CDJR) Dallas is hiring Automotive Sales Consultants. Prior sales or automotive experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are looking for positive, outgoing, and motivated individuals who communicate well, work hard, and want to build a long-term career in automotive sales.
Automotive Sales Consultant play a key role in our dealership’s success. In this position, you will guide customers through the vehicle-buying process from start to finish, help them select the right vehicle, present options clearly, and deliver a professional, transparent, and customer-focused experience.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Needs & Vehicle Selection
- Assess customer needs, budget, and vehicle preferences
- Present vehicle features, benefits, and capabilities
- Conduct test drives and product demonstrations
- Provide a professional and helpful customer experience
Sales Process & Follow-Up
- Present pricing, financing options, incentives, and terms clearly
- Maintain consistent follow-up by phone, text, and email
- Build repeat and referral business through strong customer relationships
- Work with managers and F&I to help complete each transaction
Documentation and Process
- Accurately complete and submit required sales paperwork
- Maintain customer records and follow dealership processes
- Complete required manufacturer and dealership training
Performance Expectations
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
- Stay engaged with leads, appointments, follow-up, and showroom opportunities
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail sales environment
Requirements
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Sales experience is a plus, but not required
- Automotive sales experience is helpful, but not required
- Valid driver’s license (3+ years)
- Ability to complete pre-employment screening
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work a retail schedule, including Saturdays
