JOB SUMMARY:
The Benefits Specialist - Retirement is responsible for the administration and management of all employee retirement programs. This role ensures that all retirement programs are effectively communicated, administered, and aligned with company policies and compliance requirements. This role is charged with using analytical problem-solving skills and subject matter expertise to execute and support retirement benefits programs and to provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retirement Plan Administration: Ensures the timely and accurate processing of retirement benefits transactions; maintains accurate retirement benefits records and ensures data integrity across systems; coordinates with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure accurate and compliant processing and reconciliation of retirement benefits transactions.

Vendor / Carrier Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, recordkeepers, and administrators to support plan operations, resolve issues, and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with ERISA and applicable regulations by overseeing regulatory filings (e.g., Form 5500), maintaining documentation, and ensuring audit readiness. Lead and coordinate annual compliance activities, including plan audits, compliance testing, and contribution reviews, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Employee Education and Awareness: Assist with retirement plan communications, including employee education materials and support for awareness campaigns.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities and make recommendations for process improvements and program enhancements; proactively adopts and leverages technology tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.

Employee Communication: Develop and deliver communications to employees regarding company retirement and benefit plans. Create and update benefits guides, FAQs, and other educational resources.

Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Payroll, Finance, HRIS, and HR, to ensure seamless execution of ongoing processing activities, deliverables, and compliance requirements.

Employee Advocacy and Support: Act as a resource and advocate for employees regarding their benefits. Provide one-on one support to employees with complex benefits issues.

Employee Benefit Administration: Serve as a trusted member of the Total Rewards team to provide support in all program areas including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, leave of absence and PTO administration.

Assist with benefits orientations and information sessions for new hires and existing employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
3 Years Employee Benefits - Insurance Required
Bachelor's Business Administration Preferred
