Responsibilities

- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Prepare food items with precision, demonstrating strong knife skills and slicing techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle food safely during preparation, storage, and serving to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service
- Support catering events and special meal requests while maintaining high-quality presentation standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Proven food service experience within restaurants or food industry settings
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Strong culinary skills including recipe adherence, meal preparation, and cooking techniques
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff
- Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, cleaning protocols, and catering operations
- Ability to demonstrate knife skills, slicing techniques, and food industry best practices

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
