Bluebonnet Therapy Specialists is seeking a passionate and experienced Physical Therapist to support our growing Parkinson’s and neurological rehabilitation program.
This role focuses primarily on working with adults living with Parkinson’s Disease and related neurological conditions in community-based settings, including patients’ homes, independent living communities, and assisted living facilities.
We are looking for a clinician who enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them maintain mobility, confidence, safety, and independence through evidence-based neurological rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and reassessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on mobility, function, and quality of life.
- Provide evidence-based interventions addressing:
- Gait impairments
- Balance deficits
- Fall prevention
- Functional mobility
- Postural instability
- Freezing episodes
- Strength and endurance
- Dual-task activities
- Community mobility
- Design and progress individualized home exercise programs.
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease management strategies and fall prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians, neurologists, speech-language pathologists, caregivers, and family members.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.

- Multiple System Atrophy (MSA)
- Stroke Recovery
- Other Neurological Conditions Affecting Mobility and Balance
QualificationsRequired
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Current Texas Physical Therapy License.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interest in neurological rehabilitation and movement disorders.
Preferred
- Experience treating patients with Parkinson’s Disease.
- LSVT BIG Certification.
- Neurological Clinical Specialist (NCS) certification.
- Experience with balance and vestibular rehabilitation.
- Experience working with older adults and community-based rehabilitation programs.
- Experience providing therapy in mobile or non-traditional outpatient settings.
