Part-Time Social Media Assistant for Marketing AgencyRole Overview
Killerspots is a full-service marketing and production agency seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Social Media Assistant.
You will support the planning, coordination, approval, scheduling, and publishing of social media content for approximately five client accounts.
This is a junior, hands-on execution position. It is not a senior strategy, director, influencer, or paid advertising role.
The ideal candidate follows established processes, communicates professionally, meets deadlines, and keeps recurring work organized without needing constant reminders.
You will work closely with our Creative Manager, graphic designer, video producer, and agency leadership.
Core ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Execution
- Assist with the daily social media workflow for assigned client accounts
- Build and maintain monthly content calendars using established agency direction
- Research relevant topics, competitors, seasonal opportunities, and industry trends
- Develop basic content ideas based on each client’s services, audience, and brand
- Write clear, engaging captions in each client’s established brand voice
- Adapt approved content for different platforms
- Schedule and publish approved posts accurately and on time
- Verify captions, links, tags, dates, graphics, videos, and formatting before publishing
- Help maintain consistent social media activity across assigned accounts
- Follow established posting schedules, brand guidelines, and approval processes

Creative Asset Coordination
- Work with our graphic designer and video producer to gather needed assets
- Prepare clear requests for graphics, videos, photos, and other content
- Organize client-provided photos, videos, links, and information
- Match approved assets with the correct captions, platforms, and publishing dates
- Confirm that content follows basic brand and platform requirements
- Identify missing assets or information before they delay publishing
- Keep the Creative Manager informed of production needs and potential delays
You will not be expected to design every graphic or edit every video. You will be expected to organize the work, provide clear information, and keep assignments moving.
Content Approvals and Revisions
- Prepare content calendars and posts for internal review
- Submit approved content to clients for review when directed
- Track client and internal approvals
- Follow up professionally when approvals or materials are overdue
- Accurately implement revisions and feedback
- Confirm that all required revisions are completed before publishing
- Maintain organized records of approvals, changes, and final content
Client Communication
This is a client-facing support position.
You may participate in client calls, content meetings, and monthly reporting meetings as needed. You must be comfortable communicating professionally with business owners, marketing teams, and other client representatives.
Responsibilities may include:
- Join scheduled client calls during normal U.S. Eastern Time business hours
- Take meeting notes and document action items
- Present or review upcoming content calendars when prepared to do so
- Request photos, videos, information, approvals, and feedback
- Follow up on outstanding materials and approvals
- Answer basic questions about what is being posted and when
- Provide basic updates about content status and performance
- Document client requests and decisions in Monday.com
- Represent Killerspots professionally in all communication
- Escalate strategy questions, complaints, pricing discussions, scope changes, and sensitive issues to agency leadership
This person will support client communication but will not independently make major strategy, pricing, or account decisions.
Strong written and spoken English is required.
Community Management
- Monitor basic comments, messages, and engagement on assigned accounts
- Respond to routine engagement when approved guidelines are available
- Identify and escalate potential leads, complaints, sensitive comments, or reputation concerns
- Make sure important messages and comments are not overlooked
- Engage with relevant accounts when directed
Monday.com and Task Management
- Maintain social media tasks, deadlines, calendars, approvals, and status updates in Monday.com
- Keep assigned boards accurate and current
- Follow documented agency processes
- Update task statuses consistently
- Document missing information, delays, and blockers
- Participate in internal production meetings as needed
- Communicate clearly with the Creative Manager and agency leadership
All work, deadlines, approvals, and status updates must be accurately maintained in Monday.com.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Gather basic social media performance data
- Monitor reach, engagement, clicks, follower growth, and video views
- Help identify content formats and topics that perform well
- Prepare basic monthly performance reports using agency templates
- Compare results with previous reporting periods
- Assist with recommendations regarding content mix, timing, and posting frequency
- Flag unusual performance changes or account issues
This role supports optimization within established agency direction. It does not own the client’s overall marketing strategy.
Marketing and Administrative Support
- Organize client files, links, photos, videos, and social media assets
- Prepare meeting notes and action-item lists
- Assist with content and competitor research
- Help organize reports, presentations, and client-facing materials
- Follow up internally on outstanding assignments and deadlines
- Assist with occasional Killerspots social media and marketing projects
- Support the Creative Manager with related content and workflow tasks
This position does not include personal assistant duties.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of social media, marketing, communications, or agency experience
- Experience managing or assisting with business social media accounts
- Strong English writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients by email and video call
- Experience writing social media captions
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X, or Google Business Profile
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
- Comfortable using Monday.com or a similar project management platform
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple accounts
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and established processes
- Reliable internet connection and a professional environment for client calls
- Availability during agreed-upon U.S. Eastern Time business hours
Agency experience is preferred but not required.

Position Details
- Part-time independent contractor
- Approximately 20 to 25 hours per week
- Remote position
- Must be available Monday through Friday for regular overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours
- Must be available for scheduled client calls during normal Eastern Time business hours
- Weekly hours may be flexible outside of client meetings, deadlines, and team check-ins

This is not a nights-only or weekends-only position. The selected person must be consistently reachable during agreed-upon weekday hours.
