Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stone Countertop Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise installation of stone countertops, ensuring quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces with beautiful, durable surfaces while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of remodeling and new construction projects, utilizing your skills in fabrication, measurement, and installation.
Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately cut and shape stone countertops according to project specifications.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper support for countertop installation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install stone materials.
- Follow blueprint specifications and construction plans to ensure precise placement and alignment of countertops.
- Manage the fabrication process, including cutting, polishing, sealing, and finishing stone surfaces for optimal appearance and durability.
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site.
Skills
- Proficiency in using blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and measuring tools such as tape measures for accurate cuts and placements.
- Experience with construction management principles and construction estimating processes.
- Skilled in construction inspection techniques to ensure quality standards are met throughout the installation process.
- Knowledge of building materials including tile masonry, concrete forming, plastering, stucco, roofing components, and glass installation.
- Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, grinders along with hand tools safely on construction sites.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation relevant to material handling or site preparation when necessary.
- Strong understanding of plumbing and electrical basics related to fixture installation or remodeling projects.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and following blueprint specifications accurately.
- Competency in construction site experience including safety protocols like ladder use and scaffolding setup.
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during installations and address any concerns professionally.
