Job Summary
The Juicy Seafood is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you will play an important role in providing an excellent dining experience. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Accurately take takeout orders.
- Operate the POS system and process cash, credit card, and digital payments.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with takeout orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked cashier station.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Assist with opening, closing, and other front-of-house duties as assigned.
- Work as part of a team to deliver exceptional guest service.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
- Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience.
- Experience using a POS (Point-of-Sale) system.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
