Job Overview
Responsible for assisting with daily kitchen operations to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Duties include preparing ingredients before service, setting up workstations, assisting with food plating and presentation, and ensuring dishes are ready for timely service. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen, including food preparation areas, cooking stations, equipment, and storage spaces. Assists cooks and kitchen personnel with basic food preparation tasks, restocking supplies, washing dishes and utensils, and keeping inventory organized. Supports smooth kitchen operations by following food safety guidelines, helping with opening and closing duties, and contributing to a productive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and kitchen stations before opening.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating.
- Set up plates and dishes for service to customers.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, and cooking stations.
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Restock ingredients, supplies, and serving items as needed.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist cooks and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Perform opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Keep storage areas organized and properly stocked.
- Support overall kitchen efficiency and teamwork.
Pay: $7.25 - $9.00 per hour
