Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of formwork and scaffolding for concrete pouring and finishing
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers safely to support various construction tasks
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and organizing materials for concrete pouring and other tasks
- Support rebar installation, concrete cutting, pouring, finishing, and pumping activities with precision and safety awareness
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for all team members
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with framing, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation
- Experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of concrete forming, concrete finishing techniques, and concrete pumping processes
- Ability to work on various construction projects including renovation, hardscape development, and site preparation
- Familiarity with construction estimating principles for material handling and project planning
- Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations to promote a safe working environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as concrete mixers and saws
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique
- Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, framing carpentry, and tile laying is highly desirable
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety protocol adherence and teamwork in fast-paced environments
