Position: Wellness Instructor
Reports to: Resort Activities Manager
Job Summary: The Wellness Instructor is responsible for providing wellness classes to guests of The Lake House along with locals. Minimum of 1-year experience as a Wellness Instructor.
Essential Functions:

Provide group and private fitness instruction for guests desiring a program tailored to specific needs.

Assist with customer relations as needed.

Motivate guests to achieve goals and be more involved in the fitness program.

Provide equipment usage instructions and make any necessary adjustments to equipment.

Communicate and provide guidance for techniques for fitness-related questions or concerns.

Provide back-up for classes or lessons when needed.

Maintain and organize the appearance of a fitness studio to always keep a neat appearance.

Routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.

Inspect cleanliness of the facility and report problems.
Education Requirements:

Must have and maintain certification from one or more of the nationally recognized fitness organizations - ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE.

A minimum 200hr Teaching Certification from a Yoga Alliance Approved teaching studio is required for this position.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires standing, walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
