A Skilled Nursing Facility in the Rockland County area is looking for a full-time Director of Admissions.
Partner with admissions leadership to improve and streamline the admissions process
Collaborate with facility administrators and nursing leadership to support admissions goals across locations
Coordinate resident referrals, evaluations, and approvals in a timely and efficient manner
Oversee all admissions-related documentation, assessments, and compliance requirements
Maintain current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and reimbursement regulations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, and referral partners
3 years prior skilled nursing facility (SNF) admissions experience preferred; hospital case management or discharge planning experience will also be considered
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits, and managed care plans
Experience with managed care authorizations and pre-certification processes
Strong organizational, assessment, and multitasking skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Demonstrated leadership and proactive intake management abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
