The interventionist will collaborate with classroom teachers, curriculum coordinator, and building principal.The successful candidate will have teaching experience and knowledge of K- 5 educational practices.
Strong knowledge in mathematics at an elementary level, if preferred. The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with teachers, other paraprofessionals, and service providers within the school to provide the best possible education for all students. Developing positive relationships with students and staff is at the core of what will make the candidate successful in this position. This individual will work under the general supervision of the classroom teacher, building principal, and/or another designated administrator.JOB REQUIRMENTSMinimum Bachelors Degree, Master's Degree preferredDESE license, preferred.Experiences working with children.Demonstrated ability to establish positive & supportive relationships with students.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student(s), family, and school information.Demonstrated ability to provide academic instruction to students with educational disabilities and/or learning deficits.
