About the Role:
As an Infection Control/Wound Nurse, you'll be responsible for:
Infection Prevention: Developing, implementing, and monitoring infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections among residents and staff.
Wound Care: Providing wound care services, including assessment, treatment, and education to residents, as well as collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans.
Data Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data to identify trends and track the effectiveness of infection control and wound care programs.
Education and Training: Educating staff on infection control practices and wound care techniques to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal care outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain infection control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct wound assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Provide wound care services, including dressing changes, wound cleansing, and debridement.
Analyze data to identify trends and track the effectiveness of infection control and wound care programs.
Educate staff on infection control practices and wound care techniques to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal care outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize care outcomes and reduce readmissions.

Requirements:
experience as an Infection Control/Wound Nurse
RN degree in Nursing or related field
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Connecticut
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
