Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the dining experience
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties and process payments securely
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with guests and create welcoming atmospheres
- Effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while providing genuine recommendations
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding food preparation and handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in serving or host/hostess roles with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
