Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
At St. Rose Hospital, now affiliated with Alameda Health System (AHS), we have an exciting role for our next Quality Review Nurse.
Summary
The Quality Review Nurse supports the Quality Improvement/Risk Management Department by assisting with various activities within the hospital's performance improvement process, as assigned and under general supervision. This role involves coordinating the continuous development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives across the organization. Collaboration with leadership, staff, and information systems is essential to facilitate specific job activities aimed at achieving organizational objectives. Additionally, this position helps coordinate studies within the Quality Assurance program and prepares necessary reports.
Responsibilities
- Experience working with physicians and other health care professionals. (ICU, Emergency Department).
- Basic project management skills and experience, excellent communication/updates of project to leadership.
- Collects, analyses and reports data for continuous improvement processes.
- Knowledge of 1157 Protection Laws, Physician Bylaws and peer review process.
- Seeks out educational opportunities to promote growth and current knowledge in areas relating to Patient Satisfaction surveys.
- Independently recognizes and performs duties which need to be done without being directly assigned. Establishes priorities; organizes work and time to meet them.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Experience in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Utilization Review or Infection Control
Minimum five years experience in clinical nursing or related experience preferred.

Required Qualification: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid CA license required.
2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
3. Sexual Harassment/ Bullying Prevention Certification required. (1 month from hire)
4. BSN, MSN or AA degree in Nursing preferred.
5. Minimum five years experience in clinical nursing or related experience preferred.
6. Experience in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Utilization Review or Infection Control preferred.
