Job Summary
We are hiring a dependable Facilities Technician to support the day‑to‑day maintenance of the Fairfield by Marriott and Holiday Inn Express in Yankton, SD. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and keeping a building running smoothly. Work time will be split between both properties.
Pay
$20–$22 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, minor HVAC)
- Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot guest room and building issues
- Maintain tools, equipment, and building systems
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and brand standards
- Assist with property upkeep, grounds, and common areas
- Respond to guest needs with professionalism
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to go between both hotel sites
- General maintenance, handyman, or facilities experience preferred
- Ability to diagnose and repair basic issues independently
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented
- Able to lift, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
