Job Summary

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant area, including equipment, workstations, and dining areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Utilize time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Help with restocking supplies when needed
Requirements
- Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Experience using POS systems such as Clover or Square is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must Speak English
- Bilingual English and Haitian Creole is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
