Join Our Customer Relations Team
We are looking for a relationship-focused, motivated professional to join our Customer Relations Team in a State Farm agency.
This isn't simply a customer service position. Our Customer Relations Team is responsible for taking care of our existing customers, strengthening relationships, identifying opportunities to better protect their households, and creating an exceptional agency experience.
We believe every customer relationship deserves ongoing attention—not just when there's a problem or a policy needs to be changed.
What You'll Do
As a Customer Relations Representative, you will help manage and strengthen relationships with our existing customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers
- Provide knowledgeable, responsive assistance with policy and account needs
- Conduct proactive customer outreach and account reviews
- Help customers understand their current insurance coverage
- Identify gaps in coverage and opportunities to better protect customers and their families
- Generate appropriate cross-sell and account-development opportunities
- Support customer retention and help reduce preventable policy cancellations
- Follow up on billing, underwriting, policy changes, renewals, and other account needs
- Coordinate with our New Business Team when additional sales opportunities arise
- Maintain accurate customer records and document conversations and follow-up activities
- Take ownership of customer concerns and help bring issues to resolution
- Create an experience that gives customers a reason to continue doing business with our agency
What Success Looks Like
Our strongest Customer Relations team members don't wait for the phone to ring.
They proactively manage customer relationships and look for ways to provide value.
Success in this role includes:
Protect — Help customers understand their risks and make informed insurance decisions.
Retain — Build relationships that improve loyalty and customer retention.
Deepen — Get to know the entire household and identify additional needs.
Grow — Recognize opportunities to expand relationships when additional State Farm products or services may be appropriate.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Relationship-oriented and genuinely enjoys working with people
- Professional, positive, and dependable
- Comfortable having meaningful conversations with customers
- Organized and able to manage multiple customer needs and follow-ups
- Proactive rather than reactive
- Able to identify opportunities while still putting the customer's needs first
- Comfortable working toward individual and team performance goals
- Willing to learn and continually improve
- Able to communicate clearly by phone, email, text, and in person
- A strong team player who also takes personal ownership of results
Previous insurance or financial services experience is a plus, but attitude, work ethic, communication skills, and the ability to build relationships are extremely important to us.
Applicable insurance licensing will be required for responsibilities involving licensed insurance activity.

Both teams share one goal: creating long-term customer relationships and helping people protect what matters most.
Why Join Our Team?
We're building an agency where team members aren't simply processing transactions.
We want people who take ownership, build relationships, develop professionally, and understand the impact they can have on both our customers and our agency.
