Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and active participation among students.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster respectful behavior and a positive learning atmosphere.
- Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support each child's development, including working with children with autism or other special needs.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and behavioral reports.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, behavior management, and library services.
- Mentor new teachers or interns to promote best practices in teaching physical education, literacy education, and classroom management.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom teaching within elementary or early childhood settings.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education and math.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to manage classrooms efficiently while fostering a nurturing environment for young learners.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used in modern education settings.
