Job Summary
We are a Fresh Meat Market for Beef and Pork products. We sell Kentucky Proud, locally raised products and provide high quality meat at an affordable price. Our farms and our homebase retail store are located in Carlisle, Kentucky. We are growing and looking for someone to join our newest retail store. Come be a part of our dynamic team as a Meat Cutter and become a vital part of delivering high-quality, fresh meat products to our valued customers. In this role, you will prepare, cut, grind, and package a variety of meats while ensuring food safety and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Your cutting skills and attention to detail will help create an exceptional shopping experience, supporting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare different types of meat cuts according to specifications and safety standards
- Package meat products securely for retail display or for freezing, ensuring freshness and proper labeling
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product quality throughout the process
- Stock cooler shelves with prepared meat products, rotating stock to maintain freshness and minimize waste
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments, preferably within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
