Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and managing waitlists or reservations with efficiency.
- Manage restaurant reservation systems to optimize seating arrangements and reduce wait times while fairly seating servers
- Assist guests with seating, providing menus, and answering initial questions about the menu or specials.
- Operate POS to process orders, payments, and issue receipts accurately.
- Handle cashier responsibilities including cash handling, credit card processing
- Maintain organized table management through restaurant table management systems to ensure smooth flow of service. Aware of server capacity at all times to not overwhelm servers.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy, adhering to proper phone etiquette.
- Support food safety standards by following proper procedures during food service and maintaining cleanliness in cashier areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery and guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Staying aware of customer needs of every section and politely assisting the customer or raising appropriate attention to server
- Cut Cakes as instructed
- Make bar drinks as instructed
- Light Cleaning when slow or directing bus girls and dishwashers to clean
- Making sure Servers tips are input in POS at end of shift and that they have completed their sidework cleaning/restocking condiments before they finish
- Smile. We are in the making people happy business 1st. Food 2nd.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Experience using restaurant table management systems and POS systems
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers.
- Basic Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and cashier duties effectively.
- Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette at all times.
- Prior experience in food service or hotel environments is a plus, showcasing adaptability within hospitality settings.
