Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. You will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that fosters the academic and social-emotional growth of students in a private school.
Duties
- Lesson Planning: Design and implement engaging lesson plans in core subjects like math, reading, science, and social studies.
- Instruction: Use various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assessment: Evaluate student progress through assignments and tests, and prepare students for state standardized testing.
- Communication: Maintain regular contact with parents and guardians regarding their child’s academic and behavioral progress.
- Classroom Management: Establish and enforce rules for behavior to maintain a safe and productive classroom.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Proven classroom experience with elementary-aged children in a school setting; private school experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, and colleagues
- High level of patience, empathy, and adaptability.
