What We Are Looking For-
AJ Electrical is looking for an experienced Commercial & Residential Electrician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a dependable, skilled electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship and is comfortable working on a variety of residential and commercial electrical projects.
The Electrician will perform installations, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting while working independently and alongside other members of the AJ Electrical team. We are looking for someone who values safety, reliability, quality work, and excellent customer service.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Journeyman Electrician.
- Experience performing commercial or residential electrical work.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, panels, circuits, lighting, and related components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot common electrical issues and complete repairs.
- Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and job-site safety practices.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and electrical testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to follow direction from Foremen and company leadership.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of electrical work, including standing, bending, climbing, and lifting materials and equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Gainesboro, Cookeville, Livingston, Sparta, Celina, and surrounding areas.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades for commercial and residential projects.
- Install and repair wiring, electrical panels, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and determine appropriate repairs and solutions.
- Install new electrical systems and upgrade existing electrical systems as needed.
- Perform panel installations, replacements, and electrical service upgrades.
- Install indoor and outdoor lighting, fixtures, controls, and related equipment.
- Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Follow applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and job-site procedures.
- Safely operate electrical tools, testing equipment, ladders, and other job-site equipment.
- Work effectively with Foremen, other electricians, helpers, contractors, homeowners, and business owners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining AJ Electrical's standards for quality workmanship and customer service.
- Communicate job-site issues, material needs, and project concerns to the Foreman or company leadership.
Compensation
- Starting pay: $22.00 per hour
- Pay may increase based on experience, skill level, and qualifications.
