American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring telemetry, chest tube, and NIH Stroke certification skills.
-
36-bed Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
-
Patient ratios of 4:1 with cath recovery, 6:1 max, occasionally stretched to 7:1
-
PCTs available on day and night shifts, with Unit Clerks on day shift
-
Uses remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps
-
Meditech documentation system
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Agency staff float first, potentially to Ortho or Med-Surg units
-
Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Telemetry experience required
-
Knowledge of chest tubes and Dysthymia training required
-
Experience with chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis preferred
-
US SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required

Care for telemetry patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and post-procedure recovery

Facility strives for a 75% patient satisfaction rate

Follow unit-specific Telemetry Monitoring and Stroke policies

Dress code allows any scrub color except camo

Unit has received Daisy and Bee Award recognitions and hosts a monthly staff-voted STAR award

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
