American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Float Pool position at a large inpatient psychiatric facility, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience with a background in psych or behavioral health settings.

Float pool position covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units within a 337-bed psychiatric hospital
-
Patient populations include children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient behavioral health units
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating across units is expected as a core function of this role
-
No on-call requirements
-
Charting is done in Sunrise EMR
-
Free parking available throughout the campus

Active MD or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
-
At least 6 months to 1 year of psych or behavioral health nursing experience required

Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required

Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Float pool nurses serve as experienced leads across all 19 inpatient units, including pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations

May be required to serve as charge RN during a shift

Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start

Navy blue scrubs required

Local candidates are accepted
