Overview
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients across various settings.
Duties
- Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the occupational therapist
- Help patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve daily living skills
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the occupational therapist to develop customized treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
Requirements
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience in outpatient, acute care, occupational health, clinic, or inpatient settings is a plus
- Familiarity with pediatric occupational therapy is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
