POSITION SUMMARY: This position is a hands-on role with combined technical and supervisory responsibilities. The Individual must demonstrate ability to perform aspects of plastic injection mold processing. Well versed with injection molding machines and a working knowledge and a hands-on approach to general mechanical equipment related to the industry. This position helps assign work, implements policies and procedures, manages employee’s performance issues, and recommends improvements in our production methods and operating procedures, to include the following duties but not limited to:
JOB DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Supports all other shift Supervisor & Production Manager to effectively and efficiently accomplish production goals.
- Helps with mold setting and machine operation, process optimization and documentation.
- Ensures effective employee relations. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
- Provides employee coaching and development.
- Responsible for production-related communication flow between management and production employees.
- Helps make employment decisions for our production positions.
- Responsible for the day-to-day employee’s performance management.
- Balances production, safety, and morale to achieve positive results.
- Manages employee’s performance and provides regular progress reports to management.
- Helps perform accident investigations and recommends solutions to related issues.
- Ensures all work safety rules, policies and procedures are being followed. Performs write ups when these are not being followed.
- Guide general labor force with methods for safe and efficient production and assembly.
- Provides training and devolopment
- Other duties as assigned
- Pay TBD based on experience
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday (Requires weekend work)
- 3rd shift 10:45 PM-7:15 AM
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- H.S. graduate or GED equivalent Preferred
- 3-5 yrs. of supervisory experience
- 3-5+ yrs. of processing plastic injection molding machines (ie. Toshiba, Arburg, Husky, Nissei, Engel)
- Knowledge in ERP system
- Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Excel, Data Entry any other maintenance related programs.
- Bilingual (Spanish) perfered but not required.
- Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
