Begin the journey with a comprehensive orientation from August 25-27, with the first day of work set for September 3 and the contract extending through June 24.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s Degree in Psychology
- Robust knowledge of childhood development across various age groups
- Proven experience in diagnostic assessment and interpretation
- Familiarity with learning processes and instructional interventions
- Expertise in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), including their implementation and ongoing evaluation
- Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate closely with educators, families, and support teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to inform individualized education planning
- Implement and monitor evidence-based interventions tailored to student learning needs
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data for RTI and MTSS, guiding instructional decisions
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to address academic, social, and behavioral goals
- Support crisis response and develop effective behavioral plans as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain timely, detailed documentation
