Electrical Assembly Technician
Penmac Staffing is hiring an Electrical Assembly Technician for a full-time, long-term opportunity in the Washington, MO area. Pay & Schedule
- Full-time, long-term job
- Monday through Friday
- 6:00 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
- 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Pay: $19.79 per hour
- Reports to: Production Supervisor
Requirements for the Electrical Assembly Technician
Apprentice-Level Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude and general mechanical knowledge
- Basic machine tool experience or knowledge
- Safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to learn through training and apprenticeship opportunities
Skilled-Level Qualifications
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or Associate degree required for advancement
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics, drawings, and ladder logic
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, Ethernet/IP networks, and industrial electrical systems
- Familiarity with 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC systems
- Knowledge of NEC and UL508A standards preferred
- Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus
Electrical Assembly Technician Responsibilities
- Assemble and install standard and custom abrasive blasting cabinets
- Build and install electrical and electronic circuits using schematics and engineering drawings
- Install PLCs and related electronic components
- Use hand tools, machine tools, multimeters, forklifts, overhead cranes, and tow motors
- Assist with equipment testing and troubleshooting
- Participate in equipment teardown and preparation for shipping
- Support continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing initiatives
- Work closely with team members to provide effective customer solutions
- Attend training classes, seminars, and apprenticeship programs as eligible
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills and processes
Work Environment
This position is performed indoors in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Employees must be able to stand for extended periods, safely lift up to 50 pounds with assistance, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Following all safety procedures is essential.
