Express Employment Professionals - Concord is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to manage both the incoming and outgoing flow of our inventory. In this dual-role, you will be responsible for the accurate receiving, inspecting, and logging of inbound shipments, as well as the efficient picking, packing, and preparing of outbound customer orders. The ideal candidate transitions seamlessly between tasks, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and prioritizes safety and accuracy above all else.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Operations (Receiving & Stocking):
- Unload incoming delivery trucks safely using [hand trucks / pallet jacks / forklifts].
- Verify physical shipments against bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming goods for defects, damages, or quantity discrepancies.
- Log received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) using barcode scanners.
- Sort, label, and route products to their designated warehouse storage locations (Put-away).
Outbound Operations (Picking & Shipping):
- Retrieve items from warehouse shelves accurately based on system-generated picking lists.
- Inspect picked products to ensure quality and correct item specifications before packing.
- Securely pack, wrap, and label customer orders following company packaging guidelines.
- Operate shipping software to generate carrier labels [e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, or LTL].
- Load outbound shipments onto carrier trucks efficiently.
General Warehouse Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to prevent accidents.
- Assist in periodic physical inventory counts and cycle audits.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment preferred.
- Technical Skills: Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF handheld barcode scanners is a plus.
- Certifications: [Optional: Forklift certification is preferred, or willingness to get certified].
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours) and lift up to [50 lbs] regularly.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, basic math proficiency, and excellent time-management skills.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
