Job Summary
First Homecare seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and foster a thriving, compliant, and engaged workforce. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, managing personnel, benefits administration, onboarding and compliance. Your energetic leadership will drive organizational growth by implementing innovative HR strategies aligned with business objectives. You will serve as a key partner to Director of Human Resources, ensuring the development of a positive workplace culture that attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
Duties
- Stay on top of all hiring needs, including sourcing, phone screening and scheduling interviews.
- Lead employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure seamless integration into the organization.
- Oversee employee evaluation processes, feedback sessions, and development planning to enhance workforce productivity.
- Manage benefits administration, including health plans, leave management such as FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), PFL, short-term disability and 401k.
- Implement and monitor HR policies in compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements; handle legal compliance management across all HR functions.
- Drive change management initiatives to support organizational restructuring, culture shifts, or process improvements.
- Coordinate training in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate employee relations by addressing conflicts effectively and promoting a positive work environment.
- Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive personnel information and maintain accurate HR data entry for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of HR management experience required.
- Healthcare or home care experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of New York home care, LHCSA, CHHA, HHA/PCA staffing, and caregiver compliance preferred.
- Understanding of employment law, employee relations, onboarding, documentation, and HR compliance.
- Experience managing HR staff and working with multiple departments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and confidentially.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual Russian, Spanish, or other languages is a plus.

Compensation
- Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $66,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
