TITLE: Outpatient Physical Therapist – Neurologic-Vestibular
Valley Medical Center Outpatient Therapy Services is seeking a full-time Outpatient Neurologic-Vestibular Physical Therapistto join our talented and growing multidisciplinary team. Our team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, as well as collaboration with hospital and community medical providers.
The ideal candidate would possess a strong background and passion for treating neurologic and vestibular conditions, dedicated to providing the best quality care for their patients. The candidate will have mastered skills in multiple service areas and will be expected to provide guidance and leadership skills in program development, quality management, community education, time management, day to day scheduling, student and volunteer supervision and training, staff training and marketing activities and will be seen as a resource to other staff members.
We provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions. We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative therapist, with excellent communication skills and experience treating complex patients from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Familiarity with providing telehealth, as well as use of in-person or video language interpreters, is useful.
Preferred skills and abilities:
· Clinical experience treating patients with neurologic and vestibular conditions in a multidisciplinary setting – including PT, OT, SLP and medical providers (ENT, neurologists). Completion of vestibular continuing education preferred. Completion of Emory/Duke University’s Vestibular Rehabilitation - A Competency-Based Course with certification or University of Pittsburgh’s Advanced Vestibular Physical Therapist certification is a bonus. Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) is beneficial.
· 2-5 years of experience in outpatient hospital-based clinic is preferred.
· Experience with multidisciplinary case management of complex medical conditions and social situations is helpful.
PREREQUISITES:
- Current Washington State PT Interim or Active License
- Ability to evaluate patients, plan and implement therapeutic techniques with written evaluations and treatment plans to reach established goals
- Ability to prioritize tasks for patient care and projects to meet established standards and deadlines
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current BLS certification within 90 days of hire
