Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of dental office operations, including scheduling, patient management, and administrative workflows.
- Manage financial activities such as budgeting, billing, coding, and ensuring accurate medical billing practices.
- Supervise staff including dental assistants, hygienists, administrative support, and other team members; foster a positive team environment through effective human resources management.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and state/federal health policy policies.
- Utilize dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks to maintain electronic health records (EHR) and manage patient information securely.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize clinic workflow and improve patient experience.
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain medical records accuracy and oversee medical administrative support functions including medical terminology documentation and record keeping.
- Facilitate communication between staff members and providers to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Stay updated on healthcare practice management trends and regulatory changes affecting dental clinics.
Experience
- Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare practice management with a strong understanding of dental clinic operations.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing teams within a healthcare setting.
- Extensive knowledge of medical office systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in EMR/EHR systems is essential.
- Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and medical billing processes.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO accreditation standards.
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment with acute care or hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Strong managerial communication skills combined with excellent customer service abilities to foster a positive patient experience.
- Knowledge of managed care policies, utilization management, and health regulation policies will be advantageous.
