Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining European vehicles while remaining open and capable of working on all makes and models. This individual will serve as a technical leader within the shop, helping mentor other technicians, maintain high-quality workmanship, and contribute to a positive team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on European vehicles, including but not limited to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Land Rover, MINI, and Volvo.
- Diagnose and repair complex drivability, electrical, mechanical, suspension, brake, HVAC, and engine performance concerns.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on domestic and Asian vehicles as needed.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide accurate recommendations.
- Mentor and assist other technicians with diagnostics, repair procedures, and technical challenges.
- Maintain high productivity while ensuring quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and management regarding repair recommendations and vehicle status.
- Utilize factory-level diagnostic equipment, scan tools, service information systems, and technical resources.
- Test drive customer vehicles when necessary to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
- Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist in maintaining shop efficiency and promoting a positive team environment.
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
- Strong diagnostic and repair experience with European vehicles.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to diagnose complex electrical and drivability issues.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- ASE Certifications.
- Manufacturer certifications (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi/VW, Porsche, etc.).
- Experience as a shop foreman, lead technician, or mentor.
- Experience using digital vehicle inspections and shop management software.
