Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coating finishes to a variety of metal components and products, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and compliance with strict quality standards. Your expertise in surface preparation, coating application, and equipment operation will contribute to the production of superior finished goods. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary surface treatments, including construction painting surface preparation techniques.
- Operate powder coating equipment such as airless paint sprayers, electrostatic spray guns, and manual hand tools to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain coating machinery, including cranes, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, respiratory protection gear, and following OSHA standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse handling equipment; load and unload parts with care to prevent damage.
- Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished products against quality standards in production to ensure consistency and defect-free finishes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of coating processes, materials used, and inspection results in compliance with lean manufacturing principles.
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial painting or auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with powder coating processes, airless paint spraying, or auto painting techniques is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction painting surface preparation methods and materials handling procedures is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments will be beneficial.
- Understanding of quality standards in manufacturing environments along with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Warehouse experience or background in fabrication or machining enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices including PPE use and respiratory protection adherence is essential.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
