American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring TN or compact RN license and prior specialty experience.

Hospital-based Med/Surg unit with 30 beds
-
Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Unit staffed with 2-3 techs per shift, clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director
-
Uses wound vac, heparin gtt, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, and telemetry equipment
-
Charting completed using Meditech EMR
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
13-week assignment
-
Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
-
Floating required between 2 North and 2 West units
-
No block scheduling guaranteed
-
Active TN or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
-
Skilled in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
-
Experience performing lab draws and IV starts
-
US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)

One professional reference required
-
No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit including wound care, IV therapy, and cardiac monitoring

Deliver a positive patient experience, address patient and family needs, perform service recovery as needed, and escalate issues through the proper chain of command

Team environment with visible leadership, self-scheduling options, and a strong learning atmosphere

Unit recognizes staff through I-Heal cards, employee points, colleague-to-colleague recognition, Daisy Award, and Bee Award

Required to wear navy scrubs; no fleece or sweatshirts permitted

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
