Excel Driving School is growing and currently expanding our team. We are looking for enthusiastic Driver's Education Coach for behind the wheel instruction. Our ideal candidate must be available to work at minimum 40 hours per week, during the school year including Sundays. Summer hours would require a minimum of 40 hours. No industry experience is required. Must complete a 48 hour certification course to obtain State Licensing. We will provide all the necessary training to help you obtain your Instructor's License to teach new drivers the fundamentals of responsible and safe driving. Successful candidates must also be comfortable with teaching in a classroom setting and/or one-on-one for in-person behind-the-wheel instruction.
Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, addressing their questions and concerns regarding driving techniques and safety.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance throughout the training program.
- Stay updated on state regulations and best practices in driver education to ensure compliance and enhance instructional methods.
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Experience in adult education is a plus, as the role may involve teaching diverse age groups.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students of varying backgrounds and skill levels.

Applicant Requirements:
- Be available to work at minimum 40 hours per week including weekend days, as well as 3 weekday evenings. Summer schedule may vary.
- Must be able to work the published classroom schedule
- Possess a High School diploma or GED, College Degree preferred
- A valid driver’s license for a minimum 10 years, with an excellent driving record.
- Strong and influential communication skills
- An encouraging and friendly attitude
- Patience and a calm demeanor
- Collaborative team player, flexible to assist in subbing in classroom instruction at neighboring locations.
- Must have home internet access and basic computer skills
- National fingerprint scan background check, DMV physical and drug testing required upon hire
