Reports to: Production Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Operate heat treat furnaces and passivation equipment in accordance with documented work instructions, specifications, and
quality procedures and maintaining part identification and traceability.
- Monitor and verify furnace temperatures, cycle parameters, and process controls to ensure compliance with engineering and
customer specifications.
- Accurately complete required documentation including routers, lot traceability records, inspection sheets, and process logs.
- Verify part identification, job documentation, and revision levels prior to processing to ensure compliance with AS9100
requirements.
- Inspect parts before and after processing for visual defects, contamination, distortion, or non-conformances.
- Maintain strict traceability of parts, material heat numbers, and process batches throughout the heat treat and passivation
process.
- Follow chemical handling procedures and maintain passivation solutions, including monitoring concentration levels and bath
condition when applicable.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE when working with heat treating equipment, chemicals, and industrial
machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tanks, baskets, fixtures, and equipment.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and planning teams to prioritize work and maintain workflow.
- Identify and report non-conforming material or processing issues to supervisors or quality personnel.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and safety.
Requirements
- High school education is required.
- Independently display prioritization skills
