Part-Time Family Helper / Household Assistant – Irvine
We're a friendly, busy family in Irvine looking for a dependable, proactive Family Helper to help keep our home and afternoons running smoothly. We have two great kids (ages 9 and 10) who are active and fairly independent, so this isn't a traditional nanny position. We're really looking for someone to be a third set of hands and help wherever it's needed.
Every day is a little different, but responsibilities may include:
- School pick-up and driving the kids to local activities
- Meal prep for the kids and family
- Light housekeeping (dishes, kitchen clean-up, tidying, family laundry, etc.)
- Organizing closets, toys, and household spaces
- Running occasional errands, grocery shopping
- Helping the kids stay on track with homework or daily responsibilities
- Pitching in wherever needed to help the household run smoothly
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 2:15 PM – 6:30 PM
- Wednesday: 1:15 PM – 6:30 PM
Additional hours may be available during school breaks, holidays, and occasional evenings if desired.
Compensation
- $22–25 per hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual
- Organized and able to take initiative without needing constant direction
- Comfortable with meal prep, light housekeeping, and general household support
- Enjoys working with school-age children
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Safe, reliable vehicle in good working condition
- Previous experience as a family assistant, household assistant, nanny, or housekeeper is preferred
