Job Title: Millworker/Cabinet Maker/Installer – Commercial Architectural Woodwork
Location: Newton, NJ
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Compensation: Based on experience
About Us:
We are a high-end commercial millwork company serving the NY/NJ area, specializing in custom architectural woodwork for offices, hospitality, and multifamily amenity spaces. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Millworker to join our shop team.
Position Summary:
The Millworker will fabricate custom wood components using a variety of woodworking machines and hand tools. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial millwork and can read shop drawings, measure accurately, and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate components for commercial cabinetry, paneling, trim, and other architectural elements
- Operate equipment such as:
- Table saw
- Chop saw (miter saw)
- Jointers, planers, sanders
- Routers and handheld power tools
- Follow detailed shop drawings and cut lists
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in all work
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with shop leads and project managers
Qualifications:
- Experience in a millwork, cabinet shop, or woodworking environment preferred
- Strong working knowledge of standard woodworking tools and machines
- Ability to read shop drawings and measure accurately
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety conscious
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
