Job Description
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Technician A to support production operations in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The technician will be responsible for bench assembly, alignment, calibration, and testing of highly sensitive electronic, optical, and mechanical systems, components, and subassemblies.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with technical documentation, engineering prints, schematics, work instructions, tools, and test equipment while maintaining strict quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, align, calibrate, and test systems, components, and subassemblies according to established work instructions and procedures.
- Work with electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies in a production environment.
- Perform calibration and testing of highly sensitive units to ensure they meet operational, quality, and cosmetic requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering prints, schematics, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Perform basic computer activities using manufacturing and production software.
- Identify, operate, and perform preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment.
- Identify deviations from established standards and communicate issues to the appropriate resource.
- Support quality inspections and ensure products meet established requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Follow all applicable environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors, technicians, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams.
- Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0–3 years of related manufacturing, production, assembly, or technical experience.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate different software applications.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Ability to understand basic engineering prints and schematics.
- Basic mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, rates, and percentages.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to quality and safety.
- Ability to perform hands-on bench assembly and production work.
