We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Support Team Lead / Department Head to join our family. In this role, you will help oversee the daily operations of the entire store, with an emphasis on your specific department, ensuring that all customer service and sales functions run smoothly. You will be responsible for helping lead and inspire a team of staff, managing store operations, and driving sales growth while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support a team of customer service representatives and support staff. Conduct training to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving customer inquiries, complaints, and returns efficiently and professionally.
- Operational Management: Oversee store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and adherence to store policies and procedures. Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and visually appealing, and your department is fully stocked with the most sought after products in your industry.
- Sales and Performance: Drive sales performance through effective team management and motivation. Set and monitor sales goals, track performance metrics, and develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of our product offerings, specifically items featured in your department. Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers.
- Customer Engagement: Foster strong customer relationships and build a loyal customer base through personalized service and follow-up.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on team performance, sales metrics, and customer feedback to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a retail environment.
- Customer Service: Strong background in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving complex customer issues.
- Product Knowledge: Knowledge of outdoor clothing, footwear, fishing gear, and other related equipment is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and management.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of technology. Specifically point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and basic office software.
