Duties
- Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes efficiently.
- Perform repairs on appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and refrigeration systems utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Install new appliances and ensure proper setup, including electrical connections, plumbing, and mechanical assembly.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent future breakdowns and extend appliance lifespan.
- Operate company vehicles—including box trucks—for delivery, installation, or service calls while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, maintenance tips, and safety instructions to ensure a positive experience.
- Complete detailed service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately for each job performed.
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics, ladder logic use, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Proficiency in mechanical repair techniques combined with excellent knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC principles.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, plumbing components, and assembly equipment for appliance installation and repair.
- Experience with maintenance, repair operations (MRO), field service activities, and service technician responsibilities.
- Ability to interpret electrical work requirements and perform electrical repairs safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems relevant to appliances such as dishwashers or refrigerators with water lines.
- Familiarity with delivery driver operations using box trucks or similar vehicles in a safe manner.
- Customer service skills that foster trust and satisfaction through clear communication and professional conduct.
- Experience working with equipment troubleshooting software or diagnostic tools is a plus.
