Smoke Rise Country Club is seeking an energetic, hospitality-focused, and results-driven Sales Director to lead membership sales, private event sales, and member engagement initiatives. This individual will serve as a key ambassador for the Club, responsible for promoting the club experience, generating new membership opportunities, coordinating private and member events, and building strong relationships within the community.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, food and beverage operations, event planning, and sales. This is a highly visible, hands-on position that requires exceptional customer service, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments to create memorable experiences for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Sales & Marketing
- Generate and cultivate new membership leads through networking, community outreach, marketing initiatives, and referrals.
- Conduct professional onsite tours of the clubhouse, event spaces, golf course, and amenities for prospective members and clients.
- Clearly communicate membership offerings, benefits, promotions, and club programming.
- Follow up promptly with all membership and event inquiries, responding within 48 hours.
- Maintain accurate prospect records and sales activity reports.
- Develop and execute grassroots marketing strategies to increase club visibility and membership growth.
- Represent Smoke Rise Country Club at community events, networking functions, and promotional opportunities.
Event Sales & Coordination
- Sell and coordinate private events, including weddings, corporate functions, holiday parties, social gatherings, tournaments, and special occasions.
- Serve as the primary contact for event clients throughout the planning process.
- Create detailed event proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), timelines, and room setup specifications.
- Prepare event space diagrams and floor plans to ensure seamless execution.
- Coordinate closely with food and beverage and clubhouse operations teams to ensure all client expectations are met.
- Manage event booking calendars and maintain strong client relationships from initial inquiry through event completion.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly BEO meetings with the Clubhouse Manager, Executive Chef, and Food & Beverage Manager.
Member Events & Engagement
- Plan, organize, and execute club-sponsored member events throughout the year.
- Promote member events through multiple communication channels.
- Monitor attendance and member feedback to improve future programming and engagement.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality, event sales, food and beverage, catering, country club operations, or a related field.
- Experience selling memberships, events, or hospitality services.
- Strong knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage service, and event execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or event management software.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club events and business needs.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
