Position Overview
KSI Kitchen & Bath is seeking a motivated, dependable Assistant Installer to join our in-house installation team. In this role, you'll work directly alongside one of our experienced Installation Team Leads, assisting with residential remodeling projects including kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, bars, and other living spaces.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the remodeling industry. As you develop your skills and demonstrate proficiency, you'll have the opportunity to advance into an Installation Team Lead role, managing your own projects and installation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Installation Team Lead with residential remodeling projects from start to finish.
- Support demolition and job site preparation.
- Assist with:
- Rough and finish carpentry
- Drywall repair and framing
- Cabinet and trim installation
- Pre-manufactured countertop installation
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks (as qualified and directed)
- Appliance installation and hookup (client-supplied)
- Load, unload, transport, and organize tools and materials.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Assist with material pickup and delivery as needed.
- Support project scheduling by ensuring job sites are prepared for deliveries, countertop templates, inspections, and subcontractors.
- Learn to read cabinetry plans and construction drawings.
- Document project progress and communicate updates with the Installation Team Lead.
- Assist with post-installation service visits such as adjustments, touch-ups, and punch-list items.
- Provide outstanding customer service while representing KSI professionally in customers' homes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, remodeling, cabinetry installation, finish carpentry, or a related trade preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Desire to learn skilled trades and develop a career in residential remodeling.
- Ability to work in occupied homes with professionalism and respect.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow direction while also taking initiative.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Neat, professional appearance and strong communication skills.
