Duties
- Assist dermatologists with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring smooth clinical flow
- Take and record accurate vital signs, medical histories, and skin assessments u
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Perform medication administration as directed by physicians, adhering to safety protocols
- Manage medical documentation, including accurate charting of diagnoses, treatments, and ICD coding for billing purposes
- Conduct patient intake processes, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records efficient
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dermatology or related fields such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or medical-surgical settings
- Strong knowledge of dermatology-specific procedures, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent healthcare provider certification required
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse populations
