Depending on work load, staying longer may be required
3-5 years experience in TIG welding
Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Also, individual will be required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities
Set up welding machines based on the job at hand
Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings
MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless components, based on the specifics of the drawing
Follow all company rules and policies
Ensure all work is done safely and meets quality standards
Set-up welding cells for serial production runs
Operate machinery used in the production process, including the use of overhead crane and forklift
Assemble items as needed by job requirements
Keep work area clean and organized and take care of equipment
Work with all team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Prepare product for shipment
Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment manually up to 60 lbs (more than 60lbs using a hoist)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Experience with steel, aluminum and stainless steel required
Experience with MIG and TIG welding required
Experience with press breaks, folding machines highly preferred
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs consistently required
Knowledge of raw materials, production and quality control processes highly preferred
Ability to work overtime when required
